Waimea’s Paniolo Parade

The Paniolo Parade begins at historic Church Row Park and concludes at Waimea Park.  It features the traditional Royal Court, stunning Pa’u and mounted units, followed by an all-day festival in the park with tons of Hawaiian entertainment, foods, crafts and more.  Everyone is invited – the parade is free but purchase of $5 ribbons helps underwrite expenses for this all-volunteer-run event.

For more information or to participate, contact Moani Akana, project manager and Paniolo Parade Chair (885-3110), Linda Pokipala, Ho’olaule’a Food Booth Chair (937-4896), Doreen Kama, Court Director, and Keke Kaniho, Kalaimoku (443-4164), and Lorna Akima, Ho’olaule’a Craft Vendor Chair (960-2841).  Providing kokua and funding as festival partners are Big Island Resource Conservation & Development Inc., HTA, OHA, Waikoloa Beach Resort, Big Island Visitors Bureau, North Hawai’i Rotary and Canada-France-Hawai’i Telescope Corp.
