Pukalani Cleans House

by | May 13, 2011

Paniolo Preservation Society is serious about preserving the heritage of the Hawaiian cowboy. A cornerstone to that heritage is Pukalani Stables, the center of Parker Ranch’s horse program for over 100 years and the new home of the Paniolo Heritage Center. With the cooperation and permission of Parker Ranch, PPS volunteers cleaned out decades of filth and rubbish from the stalls and grounds in preparation for a complete power-washing of the facility. Though Pukalani needs lots of TLC, the good news is that the building is sound and it will make an excellent home for the Paniolo Heritage Center, and a unique venue for special events and tours.
