SAVE THE DATE, PILGRIMS – AUGUST 22, 2015. This year Paniolo Preservation Society’s Annual Gala Fundraiser at Pukalani Stables will honor “The Duke”, John Wayne, and the aloha he had for cowboy culture and the paniolo. Did you know that John Wayne was a guest at Parker Ranch and became friends with many of our local cowboys?
Come enjoy an evening of celebration with a Live Auction of paniolo and John Wayne related items, an ono-licious paniolo dinner, spirited dancing and fantastic classic country music by local favorites, Willie-Joe and Damien.
The Wayne family is involved in the celebration and excited that PPS and Hawaii’s Cowboys would honor the Duke in this way as he had great admiration for paniolo culture and Hawaii’s ranching heritage.
Tickets are $150 per person or $1,500 per table (seats 10). We suggest that ranches reserve their tables early. Tickets are available from Parker Ranch Store, Kamuela Liquor Store, and Kua’Aina Saddlery at Pukalani Stables. You can also purchase tickets from PPS Board Members.
