The O`ahu Cattlemen’s Association announced in May the following twelve (12) new members of the Paniolo Hall of Fame. These new members will be inducted at the Hawai`i Cattlemen’s Council Annual Convention at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel on the Big Island on Saturday, November 16, 2013. The Paniolo Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at 12 noon. The members of the Paniolo Hall of Fame are among the generations of Hawai`i cowboys who have stood out in their contributions to cattle ranching throughout all the islands. While the cattle industry is still very much alive and well in Hawai`i today, the paniolo have become a legendary and celebrated part of Hawai`i’s present-day culture.
