PANIOLO TALK STORY AT THE NEW PPS PANIOLO HERITAGE CENTER AT PUKALANI STABLES: 5-8 p.m., Sat., Jan. 14, 2012. PPS’ first Talk Story was Paniolo Ghost Stories, this time it will be all about Paniolo Grinds – the delicious traditional foods, practices, and protocols of Hawaiian ranching families – the mea ‘ai of this lifestyle and culture. Hosted by Ku’ulei Keakealani. Free though a donation to or membership in PPS most welcome. Kanu o ka ‘Aina families will be selling traditional paniolo pipi (beef) stew and non-alcoholic beverages will be available including steaming hot Starbucks coffee and cocoa ‘n crackers.
