Ka ‘Ike Kupuna Classes will be continuing for the month of October with Uncle Robert “Sonny” Keakealani and daughter, Ku’ulei Keakealani highlighting stories, Hawaiian terms and phrases used by the paniolo reflecting their connection from the mountain to the sea. The classes will be held on Wednesdays, Oct 2, 16, 23 and 30 noting that the time of each class has been changed to 4:30 – 5:45 at Pukalani Stables. ‘Ike Hawai’i at Waimea Middle School, Paniolo Preservation Society and the Waimea Education Hui extends a heartfelt mahalo to everyone who have attended the first series of classes.
