Paniolo Preservation Society is honored to sponsor an evening of beautiful mele sung and shared by Waimea ohana. “Hanohano o Waimea” will take place Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables. This special event is free and open to the public.

The evening will be hosted by cultural practitioner, Ku’ulei Keakealani, on behalf of Ka Ua Paliloa, the family, parent, and teacher group of Punana Leo o Waimea and ‘Alo Kehau o ka ‘aina Mauna, Waimea’s only Hawaiian Language schools where education is conducted in the native language of this beautiful Hawai’i nei. This community event will focus on Waimea families sharing their beautiful musical gifts. This is a school related, alcohol and drug-free event. All are welcome.
