From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Kamuela Farmers Market at Historic Pukalani Stables will be honoring the 1st Day of Spring with a Spring Planting Celebration on Saturday, March 19th.  This festival event is designed to inspire everyone to jump start your home gardening project, start a new garden bed or spruce up the landscaping around the house.  Whether replanting an existing plot, starting a raised bed or growing vegetables in containers, we have the plants available from ornamentals and vegetable starts to cut flowers and landscape shrubbery.

Our existing nursery vendors and guest vendors will be showcasing a variety of vegetation, seedlings, hanging baskets, exotic orchids, potted bamboos and herbal combinations.

Free garden workshops will be available from 9 a.m. to 11.  Classes include:  Orchid Identification, cultivation and repotting; fruit tree selection for you area, planting, caring and the benefits of bamboo.  Attend one or all of our free demonstrations.

Hawaii Irish Dane will be demonstrating traditional Irish ceili & step Dance from 11:30am to 12:00 noon

Be sure to enter our lucky drawing giveaways from our Nursery and Farmer market vendors, happening throughout the day.  Come visit the newly renovated and expanded Paniolo Heritage Museum and experience the Hawaiian Cowboy Culture.   In addition, The Waimea Outdoor Circle will be giving away Free heirloom seed packets and sharing their expertise at their information booth.  Also take a photo in our whimsical garden “Botany Booth”.

It’s all happening Saturday, March 19th @ the Kamuela Farmers’ Market where fresh veggies and fruits from community farmers are sold alongside a variety of deliciously prepare foods and snacks, soothing hot & cold beverages and icy refreshments, savory/sweet baked goodies and local craft and art collections.  Relax, refresh and enjoy the live music.
