We are excited to share with you the new inductees into the Paniolo Hall of Fame! The Paniolo Hall of Fame was created by Oʻahu Cattlemen’s Association in 1999 to honor our past and current paniolo statewide. To be considered, inductees must qualify in at least one of the three categories:
- Founder: one who established and/or maintained a cattle ranching operation in Hawaiʻi that contributed to perpetuating the ranching industry and paniolo culture.
- Ranch Manager: one who has managed the livestock, business, and personnel aspects of a cattle ranching operations in Hawaiʻi.
- Ranch Hand: one who was or is a working paniolo, wrangler, livestock handler or all-around hand on a Hawaiʻi cattle ranch
Including our 2022 inductees, there are a total of 166 members in the Paniolo Hall of Fame. These men and women represent the unique character of Hawaiʻi’s paniolo, the love they have for the land, livestock and ‘ohana and the values that make the paniolo legendary. Please join us in congratulating this year’s inductees! If you would like to attend the Induction Ceremony and Luncheon on Saturday November 19th please visit the Convention page on the Hawai’i Cattlemen’s website.
